Meet The Team.
Meet Michael
Michael is the founder of Vale and brings a calm, thoughtful approach to supporting families through one of life’s most difficult times.
He previously worked within a large corporate funeral organisation, where he gained firsthand experience in the practical and operational side of funeral care. While this provided a strong foundation, it also highlighted for him a growing need for more personal, flexible, and meaningful services for families.
Michael is passionate about moving away from “one-size-fits-all” funeral models and instead creating bespoke, considered farewells that truly reflect the individuality of each person being honoured.
He believes that every life deserves a service shaped with care, attention, and intention - not a standard template. His focus is on listening deeply, guiding gently, and helping families make decisions that feel right for them.
At the centre of his approach is a simple belief: families deserve honesty, compassion, and the space to say goodbye in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.
Meet Jade
As the first point of contact for many families, Jade is a key part of Vale as she answers calls with warmth and understanding, ensuring everyone who reaches out feels heard, supported, and gently guided from the very beginning. She is often the calm voice at the other end of the phone when families need reassurance most.
Jade also assists behind the scenes with funeral coordination and preparation, and provides support on the day of the funeral to ensure everything runs smoothly and with care. She continues to assist families after the service with follow-up questions, guidance, and aftercare support.
Her commitment to supporting others comes from a deeply personal place. Jade lost her younger brother, Joshua, at the age of 9 after his battle with brain cancer. That experience shaped her understanding of grief and inspired her to help others navigate loss with compassion and care.
For Jade, every interaction matters, and every family deserves to feel supported throughout the entire journey - not just on the day of the service.
